WHY DO I READ LIPS?
I'm what you might call a lipsologist (a lip print reader). I've had the privilege of bringing my art to many wonderful venues--from Bloomberg Summer Parties, to Cosmopolitan magazine launches, and Estee Lauder events. I recently brought Lipstick Reading by Beth to the premiere party for Season 2 of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. I adore celebrations of all kinds, and especially those featuring lipstick; and that event was a fabulous celebration of lipstick power!
Why do I read lips? The simplest answer is that I love to connect with people. Reading faces and reading lip prints is all about connecting directly with another person, in a highly personal way, for just a moment. A real moment, not a digital flyby; where everything is open and possible, where things that are known are sensed and brought to the surface as reference points for recognition. Kiss some paper and see what messages your lip prints have for you. Yes, they can really speak volumes, and are often shockingly accurate!
I learned to connect with people this way from my grandmother, who taught me Chinese face reading and how to read Tarot. It's also how I connected as a young woman with my mother, sisters, and girl friends.
Reading lips is a bit of old-fashioned magic in the name of hope and positivity--in an age where we find it difficult to connect with the lightness of our inner being. There are 25 categories of lip prints and over 100 sub-categories. Lipstick draws attention to the lips and makes them stand out, and the purpose for wearing it remains the same since it was first invented in 1884: to express inner beauty with outer self, to announce our uniqueness.
